Cleaning staff in medical device manufacturing facilities are challenged by the need to similtaneously remove gross contamination, large fibers and bioburdens while keeping room airborne particle counts in control. To do this, multiple cleaning steps involving dry mopping, wet mopping and vacuuming are often required.
Foamtec has developed the Sahara+ PharmaMOP® that enables janitorial staff in a single step to quickly and thoroughly clean floors, walls & ceilings. Sahara+® PharmaMOP® is constructed with three purpose designed materials that dislodge, remove and entrap gross contamination, fine particles, and bioburdens.
The deep cleaning afforded by the Sahara+ PharmaMOP® allows medical device manufacturing facilities to avoid FM related room excursions and CAPA’s. In addition to deep cleaning, Sahara+® PharmaMOP® evenly applies disinfectants to meet SOP required contact times.

The Sahara+ PharmaMOP® is uniquely designed to tackle the difficult cleaning challenges faced by medical device manufacturers. The mop head has the Sahara® Foam laminated over a hybrid microfiber fabric, ultrasonically welded in a GMP cleanroom. The Sahara® Foam and hybrid microfiber fabric work together to dislodge, entrap and remove gross contamination, large fibers, small particulates and bioburdens that are adhered to floors, walls, and ceilings by sticky, disinfectant residues.

The hybrid microfiber and polyester fabric is ideal for entrapping and removing hydrophilic soils, very small particles, and microbial contamination that have been scrubbed loose from the surface by the Sahara® Foam.
